**Job Description:**
- Work on a Cardiac Stepdown Unit with 18 beds and a team of 38 staff members
- Staffed with 5 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 2 Patient Care Technicians during day shifts; 5 nurses and 1 Patient Care Technician during night shifts
- Handle a patient ratio of 4:1
- Utilize equipment such as central lines, PCA, Foley catheters, chest tubes, pacer wires, telemetry, and drains
- EMR system used: Meditech
- Perform cardiac procedures like CABG, valve replacement, TAVR, Mitral clip, thoracotomy, manage Afib, CHF, MI
- Administer cardiac drips (Cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, nitro)
- Exhibit a strong team player mentality, critical thinking skills, kindness, and compassion
- Perform vital signs and assessments every 4 hours
- Conduct rhythm interpretation every 4 hours
- Work every other weekend; extra hours are available for those interested
- Dress code: All navy scrubs
- Potential floating to telemetry and medical-surgical units as needed
