**Experience:** Minimum 2 years in an 18+ bed telemetry/progressive care unit
**License:** Active New Mexico or compact license
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
(Certifications must be completed through recognized organizations like the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross)
**Must-Have:**
- Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
- Provide or pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) exam prior to or during the first week of the assignment
**Job Description:**
- Adhere to a 75-mile straight-line radius rule; travelers must not permanently reside within this radius from the facility.
- Be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
- Work a 12-hour day shift starting at 0700 with a requirement to work 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week scheduling period. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
- On call, weekends, and holiday shifts may be required.
- Be the first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of the permanent assigned location, including emergency departments and alternative holding areas to care for appropriate patients.
- Participate in orientation during the first week, which includes EPIC training, not to exceed 40 total hours.
- Comply with facility requirements including the wearing of personal scrubs (not provided by the facility).
- Ensure accurate submission of personal information to avoid onboarding issues.
- Prior employment with the facility system must have been concluded at least 12 months prior to considering this travel position.
- Support coverage needs during holidays as holiday time-off requests will not be approved for travelers.
