**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in specialty required; one 13-week travel assignment experience required
**License:** Active RN license
**Certifications:** BLS and ACLS certification required (must be completed through recognized organizations)
**Must-Have:** Team player attitude, flexibility, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and EPIC experience preferred but not required
**Job Description:**
- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned patients during shifts.
- Ensure the provision of safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
- Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician or standard protocols and document according to policy.
- Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.
- Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
- Float to other areas as needed, within the scope of practice, and participate in staff rotation for on-call, weekends, and holidays.
- Wear scrubs in any solid color, ensuring top, pant, and jacket (if worn) match in color.
- Participate in orientation during the first week of the contract, not exceeding 40 hours, including EPIC training.
**Additional Information:**
- No holiday time off will be approved for travelers.
- Travelers must not have been employed by the healthcare system for 12 months prior to consideration for a travel position.
