**Job Description:**

- Work in a fast-paced environment with an average of 5-10 discharges/admissions daily.
- Care for patients from outlying areas seeking specialty services.
- Focus on acute and chronic management of heart failure patients presenting in crisis, acute cardiac events and illnesses, and exacerbation of chronic cardiac disease.
- Handle high acuity patients requiring IV medical management, high-flow oxygen, and impaired mobility due to venous congestion.
- Manage patients post cardiac catheterization and/or cardioversion.
- Current nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 for PCU (with a goal to achieve 1:4).
- All travel nurses are expected to float as needed within acuity levels.
- Self-scheduling is an option with flexible shift patterns, including every other weekend and block scheduling.
- Must work at least one holiday per season (including winter holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
- Compliance documentation is due the Wednesday prior to the Monday start date.
- Orientation: 24 hours, with modules to be completed as part of the process. Modules are non-billable if completed within the first 24 hours of onboarding.
- Prior employees must be away for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler.
- Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and not accepted, except inpatient RNs with a 50-mile radius rule.
