**Job Description:**

- Work in a telemetry PCU specializing in the care and management of hospitalist medicine patients, including stroke and neurology patients.
- This unit is recognized as a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center.
- Provide care with a current nurse to patient ratio of 1:5, with a goal of 1:4.
- Be prepared to float as needed based on patient acuity.
- All requests for time off must be submitted upfront.
- Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per season (two winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's).
- Compliance documents are due the Wednesday before the start of the assignment.
- Candidates living within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted. The exception is for inpatient RNs, which have a 50-mile radius rule.
- Previous employees must have been gone for a minimum of one year before returning as a traveler.
- Completion of orientation modules and/or Epic Fast Track modules may be required prior to starting. These hours count towards the 24 hours of non-billable orientation included in the timesheet.
