**Description:**

This position is for a 25-bed Medical Unit that focuses on the care of acutely and chronically ill adults with a wide range of complex medical diagnoses. The current nurse-to-patient ratio for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is 1:5, with a goal to achieve 1:4. All applicants are expected to be flexible and may be required to float as needed to other PCU units and potentially to Medical-Surgical units. There is a requirement to work at least one holiday per season (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year). Orientation comprises 24 hours, which includes modules—5.5 hours for orientation modules and 2 hours for Epic training for inpatient nurses. Modules can be completed pre-start or during orientation.
