**Must-Have:**
- Experience with critical patients requiring ventilator support
- Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Telemetry skills

**Job Description:**
- Provide care for patients in the Special Care Unit, focusing on those with severe medical conditions.
- Attend to patients with diagnoses including COVID, respiratory distress, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and cardiac dysrhythmias requiring IV drips.
- Operate special equipment such as telemetry monitoring and capnography.
- Work collaboratively with an ED physician, nursing supervisor, and respiratory therapy team available in-house 24/7.
- Be prepared to float to a MedSurg assignment if there are no Special Care Unit level patients.
- Participate in a unit orientation comprising two twelve-hour shifts.
- Adhere to the requirement of working every third weekend.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies including mandatory COVID-19 vaccination.
- Wear navy blue scrubs when on duty.
- Work within a smoke-free environment.

- Travelers must have out-of-state residency, and permanent addresses must be 50 miles or greater from the facility.
- Provided housing options available within walking distance.
- Familiarity with Omnicell, CERNER, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication is beneficial but not mandatory.
