**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Specialty:** Step Down

**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks

**Shift:** Night 4x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified

**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience required, especially with critical patients requiring ventilator support.

**License:** License must be active by start date.

**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, Critical Care or Intermediate Care Course

**Must-Have:** Willingness to float to other units.

**Job Description:**

- Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and perform telemetry.
- Handle patients diagnosed with COVID, respiratory distress, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, and cardiac dysrhythmia requiring IV drips.
- Work with an in-house ED physician, nursing supervisor, and respiratory therapy available 24/7.
- When no special care unit level patients are available, the traveler will float to a med-surg assignment.
- Follow a call-free requirement with a weekend off every third week.
- Use specialized equipment such as telemetry monitoring and capnography capabilities.
- Operate unit systems with Omnicell, CERNER, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication.
- Undergo a 24-hour orientation split into two twelve-hour shifts.
- Wear navy blue scrubs.
- Adhere to the requirement for the COVID-19 vaccine, with no exemptions allowed.
- Optional housing is available within walking distance from the facility, inclusive of wifi, cable, linens, kitchen utensils, and towels.
- Maintain a smoke-free facility environment.
- Experience with Cerner is beneficial, but training will not be provided on-site.

This position is open for out-of-state travelers only, with locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius.
