**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 per week

**Experience:** Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience

**License:** RN License in good standing

**Certifications:**
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)

**Must-Have:**
- Licensed RN with relevant patient care experience

**Job Description:**

- Assume responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame, providing care through the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and resources.

- Perform all unit responsibilities and duties as specific to the scope of service.

- Implement procedures and theories related to the specialized area of practice.

- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure information integration for the healthcare team.

- Complete initial assessments upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards, considering patient and family needs.

- Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures, and modify the plan based on continuous evaluation.

- Prioritize patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting safety hazards and incidents.

- Communicate effectively and constructively to resolve issues and provide feedback for professional development.

- Identify personal learning needs and take initiative to pursue appropriate solutions.

- Fulfill all requirements of departmental competencies.

- Monitor EMU patients continuously for seizure activity and ensure effective communication with patients and families.

- Collaborate with the critical care team and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.
