**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medical Telemetry
**Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
**Guaranteed Hours:** To be determined
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience
**License:** NC or Compact License (required at time of start)
**Certifications:** ACLS required; NIH preferred
**Must-Have:**
- Telemetry and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias and remote monitoring
- Experience with Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, and Sheath Removal
- Proficient in accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, and PICC line management
- Experience with cardiac drip-titration of Diltiazem and Amiodarone
- Post-cardiac cath experience
**Job Description:**
- Manage patient diagnoses such as Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, and Post-cardiac Cath
- Monitor cardiac patients and manage cardiac drips (e.g., Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine)
- Perform special procedures such as sheath pulls and manage TR Bands and Femstop
- Work within a unit that uses systems like Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication
- Participate in self-scheduling
- Complete unit orientation of 24 hours
- Required to float within the hospital or nearby affiliate hospital based on skillsets and census
- Wear navy scrubs
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start
- Participate in Storm and/or Hurricane Teams and report to work during catastrophic events or disasters
- Required to work 5-6 weekend shifts, approximately every other weekend
- Work during at least 2 out of 3 major holidays, with no RTO allowed in the first week of assignment
- Complete non-billable modules as part of orientation, estimated at 8-10 hours for Acute Care roles
