- Use of Rapid Response Teams
- Blood product administration
- Central and peripheral line care/management
- Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
- Ventilator experience
**Job Description:**
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:3-4
- Float to relevant units, including ED-IP, medical, surgical, or cardiac floors, or ICU for suitable assignments
- Work 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
- Expected to work during storm/hurricane events, catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters
- Handle patients with a mix of medical, cardiac, surgical, and trauma diagnoses
- Prefer candidates with telemetry, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions experience
- Utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication, documentation, and communication systems
- Adhere to a self-scheduling system and wear navy and white scrubs during unit orientation (40 hours)
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
- Participate in Storm Team coverage and Holiday coverage
**Additional Information:**
- Flu vaccine required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment due to orientation
- Candidates may float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
- Orientation consists of 8 non-billable hours
