- Experience with IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation
**Job Description:**
- Nurses must manage telemetry monitoring on the unit and handle the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
- Required skills include the use of rapid response teams and IV insulin protocols.
- Administer blood products and perform central and peripheral line care and management.
- Manage CVA, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and non-invasive airway management, including CPAP/BIPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannula.
- Isolation precautions and PICC line management expertise is necessary.
- The unit caters to ICU step-down patients with conditions like respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, and post-surgical recovery (GYN, GU, GI, thoracotomies, neuro, ortho).
- Patients range from adolescent to geriatric, including pre/post OB with complications (Pitocin).
- The unit utilizes bedside telemetry monitors with remote backup. Nurses must recognize and treat dysrhythmias.
- Nurses will float as required to the sister ICCU unit.
- The position demands work every other weekend and adherence to the scheduling set by the Nurse Manager.
- A-lines and multiple drips like Cardizem, Nitro, Precedex, Cardene, Levophed, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Neo are administered on the unit.

No block scheduling is permitted, and candidates are required to work two out of the three major holidays listed. Flu vaccine is required unless there's a medical or religious exemption.*
Orientation involves 8 hours of non-billable modules, which must be completed pre-start. Candidates will be expected to complete necessary learning modules annually and as required per specialty.
