**License:** NC or Compact license (pending OK for submission, required in hand at the start)
**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIH certifications
**Must-Have:**
- Experience with IV start, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Proficient in arterial lines and titrating vasoactive drips
- Experience working with PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown
**Job Description:**
- Provide care to patients with the following conditions: respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, withdrawal, GI bleeds, thoracotomies, neuro, and ortho surgeries
- Manage and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias
- Use Rapid Response Teams and IV insulin protocols
- Administer blood products and manage central, peripheral, and PICC lines
- Follow protocols for Heparin and CVA, manage chest tubes, and provide tracheostomy management
- Adhere to isolation precautions and non-invasive airway management protocols
- Operate special equipment, including bedside telemetry monitors, A-lines, BIPAPs, and high-flow nasal cannula
- Float to the sister ICCU unit as needed
- Work every other weekend
- Handle patients of various ages, from adolescent to geriatric
- Required to pass EKG Testing before start and complete mandatory orientation and learning modules
- Clinical documentation systems: Pyxis and Epic
- Hospital orientation during the first week, must attend all classes
- Work with a patient ratio of 3:1 or 4:1, depending on the unit needs
- Modules must be completed pre-start and adjusted annually based on specialty needs
