Certification Details Required Certifications: BLS & ACLS Job Requirements Must have PCU experience Must have knowledge of cardiac rhythms and surgical patients Must have experience with chest tube management, epidurals Preferred skills include teamwork ability Preferred skills include time management with high turnover of patients Typical procedures performed on unit(s) include post cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, groin management, chest tubes, post op surgical patients, critical drips, epidurals, PCA Best personality fit: outgoing, team oriented, willing to go above and beyond for patients Schedule Information Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts Day Shift – 3-4RN, 2 PCT, 1 Clinical Coordinator Night Shift – 3-4 RN 1 PCT Patient Ratios – 4-5/1 Unit Specific Information Unit Information: 631/ East Progressive Unit General Information about the unit(s): 15 beds, 22 staff (RN/PCT) Typical hiring profile: PCU experience, Knowledge of cardiac rhythms, Chest tube management, epidurals Procedures performed: Post cardiac cath, EP studies, device placements, groin management, chest tubes, post op surgical patients, critical drips, epidurals, PCA Additional Details Number of Beds – 15 beds Number of Staff – 22 (RN/PCT) Type of staff: Day Shift and Night Shift Type of equipment – Cardiac Telemetry, Chest tubes, Cardiac drips (NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone), Post Cath Patients, post-surgical patients to include open heart, lung patients, general surgery patients, post op orthopedic patients that require cardiac monitoring EMR – Meditech Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire – Navy or white, can mix or match Floating Area(s): ICU taking PCU type patients, PCU, Med-surg (taking 5 patients)
