Travel Nurse Rn - Pcu - Progressive Care Unit - $2,170 Per Week

Certification Details Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's. 2 years as an RN 1 year of unit experience. Contract is for 13 weeks. Job Requirements PCU RN 221123310 2 years as an RN 1 year of unit experience. BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification required. Schedule Information Night shifts. Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 Weekend Requirements: Every third with cyclic rotation Holiday Requirements: Every third No call or standby requirement. Unit Specific Information Nurses are required to titrate drips. Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Cardizem, betablockers, seizure medications. Beds: 35 Ratios: 1:4-5 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and geriatrics, Cardiac, nephrology, strokes, DM, continuous EEG monitoring. Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Charge Nurse Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: 1:10 or 2:20 Floating Requirements: Medical floors, ICU, or rehab. How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: First week is onboarding and then 1-2 days of orientation on the floor. Additional Details Attributes that will help a nurse be successful on this unit are a positive attitude, helping others, good communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to problem solve. This is a fast paced floor. Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidate may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
