**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Shift:** 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, first to float

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years

**License:** Required for submission

**Certifications:** BLS, PALS

**Must-Have:** Minimum of 2 years PICU experience; experience with Medfusion pumps; proficiency in Cerner EMR

**Job Description:**

- Medical Solutions Clinical Team will pre-screen all candidates
- No first-time travelers
- Unit details:
- PICU, 8 beds, average census of 2
- Patient ratios are 1:2
- No charge nurse or nurse aides typically
- Weekend requirement is every other weekend
- Holiday requirement is 2 out of 3 holidays
- Scrub color is navy blue
- Use of Spacelab telemetry monitors; nurses must read their own strips
- Ventilator support available
- Pediatric hospitalist intensivist available 24/7
- Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services available 24/7
- Floating to general pediatrics and burn units as needed
- Floor-specific orientation includes 2 shifts in PICU, 1 shift in pediatrics, and 1 shift in the burn unit (for pediatrics)
- Common patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, dehydration, seizures, suicide attempts, overdoses, and poisoning
- The cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 3 times per contract; this could be a full shift or part of a shift, with the possibility of payment for full hours
