NuWest Travel Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Psychiatric for a travel nursing job in Salem, Massachusetts. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Psychiatric Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/03/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Adult Psych RN We treat patients with diverse types of mental health issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, dual diagnosis patients: Detox here on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute patients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care). Years of Experience Required: 2 years minimum of inpatient adult psych experience. Skill Sets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects; Able to assume the role of charge nurse; Able to complete admissions and discharges. Competent in the use of IV pumps. Competent in care of a diabetic patients. EMR (Charting System): EPIC Certifications Required: Active Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS, Certification in De-escalation. Additional Information: AVADE training offered on-site as well as lead EKG training. All active certifications + license required!
