We primarily see: pulmonary – acute respiratory failure secondary to pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, and/or CHF exacerbation; cardiac - NSTEMI/STEMI not requiring ICU level of care and/or downgrade from ICU, +/- cardiac cath, CHF/CMO requiring BIPAP/diuresis, AFIB with RVR requiring Cardizem/Amio gtt, or complete heart block awaiting AICD/Pacemaker; sepsis not requiring pressors; minor trauma – hip/femur/ankle fracture s/p fall; CIWA; DKA requiring insulin gtt; some surgical patients – surgeries typically go to MedSurg or ICU however we do see the occasional vascular surgery (arterial bypass or compartment syndrome requiring neurovascular checks) and/or post-op complications from MedSurg.Typical Ratios are 1:4, sometimes 1:5Must be EPIC proficient - NO EXCEPTIONS3 years experience preferred (will consider strong candidates without 3 years), travel experience preferredLocal Rules: No RN candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 50 miles from facility.
