**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Telemetry - OB-Float **Job Duration:** 13-week contract **Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3x12 **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week **Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required **License:** NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license **Certifications:** - BLS - NIHSS - Telemetry Certification or Telemetry Competency Exam **Must-Have:** - Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience - Ability to communicate effectively in English (Read, Write, Speak) **Job Description:** - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care. - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs. - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments. - Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician medical diagnosis, and functional health framework. - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients. - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support innovations in care delivery. - Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice model. - Commit to working every other weekend. - Responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1 RN to 6-7 patients. - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
