**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Telemetry **Job Specialty:** Telemetry - Tele Float **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 12-hour Night Shifts, Every Other Weekend, with potential floating **Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in acute care **License:** Required **Certifications:** BLS, COVID Vaccine Required **Must-Have:** - At least 2 years of acute care experience - Ability to titrate drips according to guidelines **Job Description:** - Provide care in six different telemetry units, including surgical, neuro, ortho/spine, cardiac short stay, and general medical cases. - Potential floating to alternate med-surg units and performing tasks similar to a CNA or entrance screener if necessary. - Handle ratios of 4-5 patients per RN, and work with CNAs managing 8-11 patients. - Utilize RT equipment such as CPAP, BiPap, and Trachs (no ventilators). - Verify telemetry readings measured by remote telemetry techs. - Participate in 12-hour shifts with the expectation of working every other weekend and certain winter holidays. - Subject to being on call or standby up to 4 times during contract duration. - No specific scrub color required; adhere to dress code policies. - Undergo unit-specific orientation involving 4 hours on multiple designated floors. - Note that cancellations are allowed for up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract.
