If you discharge your 4th patient, then another nurse would get a 4th if an admit came in. 1:5 worst case scenario, this does not happen often Common medications given: no cardiac infusions, EMR EPIC Floating Tele, as well as potentially to overflow areas such as PACU and ER hold.
