Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Wound Care for a travel nursing job in Farmington, Connecticut. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Wound Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/16/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Wound Care RN needed for UConn John Dempsey Hospital 13 week contract M-F 8a-430p Prior travel preferred Epic Experience Required Covid Vax or medical/religious exemption accepted. Time off requests must be kept to a minimum during your assignment and must be approved prior to confirmation. Please note, holidays off will be limited to 1 of the 3 major and at the discretion of UCONN Health. Mandatory Emergency Staffing requirements Mandatory Overtime: During Personnel's assignment with Client, he or she is considered part of the unit and will be included as part of the rotation pool of staff (i.e., Client employees and Personnel) who are required to work additional hours on an as-needed basis to ensure coverage for the unit. Float: Client may float or reassign Personnel to a different department, unit, or facility (within 30 miles of the Personnel's originally assigned facility) within the Personnel's clinical competence. Care to patients with Wound/Ostomy needs including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning and implementation. Provides consultation for individuals with altered skin integrity. Validates pressure ulcer data collection for nursing quality indicator. Marks the stoma site preoperatively. Other related duties as assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Master's preferred. Three [3] years of recent relevant nursing experience Graduation from an accredited wound and ostomy nursing education program Wound and Ostomy Certifications from an accredited institution. Must possess and maintain a current during employment license to practice nursing in the State of Connecticut. Current certification in Basic Life Support [BLS].
