**Job Title:** Wound Care Nurse

**Shift:** Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (No Holidays or Weekends)

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 3 years in wound care

**License:** Valid nursing license

**Certifications:** Wound Care Certification; American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS preferred

**Must-Have:** Mandatory Wound Care Certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience

**Job Description:**

- Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, and acute and/or chronic wounds.
- Provide comprehensive care and teaching to patients and their families/significant others.
- Evaluate, select, and recommend supplies and equipment to ensure optimal wound and ostomy care.
- Occasionally float to other qualified departments as needed, which may include taking a patient load or performing task-oriented duties.
- Participate in orientation sessions on Mondays if applicable.
Additional Information: Travelers may be asked to assume charge duties without additional charge pay.
Orientation occurs on Mondays, and compliance deadlines must be met to start the orientation process.
