**Experience:**
- Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience required
- 1 year of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) experience preferred
**License:** Registered Nursing License in state of practice required
**Certifications:**
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing)

**Job Description:**
- Serve as a clinical resource and consultant for medical staff, nursing staff, other personnel, and patients in the care of ostomies, wounds, fistulae, incontinence, and skin breakdown.
- Utilize nursing processes to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, adhering to current standards of practice.
- Exercise independent judgment in assessing patients' needs and identify clinical priorities throughout the facility.
- Respond appropriately to issues impacting patient care.
- Identify opportunities for performance improvement, standardization of supplies, and cost containment.
- Investigate complications and report findings to the Clinical Manager, collaborating on action plans for improvement.
- Assist in ongoing data collection for performance metrics and quality reports.
- Gather patient clinical assessments and relevant history to evaluate appropriate treatment or therapy.
- Use sound judgment and critical thinking skills when setting priorities.
- Document required elements accurately and timely.
- Under physician orders, evaluate and develop care plans for patients with skin, wound, ostomy, negative pressure therapy, and dressing needs.
- Instruct clinical staff on ongoing wound care for patients.
- Manage online systems for negative pressure unit utilization and process appropriate orders and charges for patient care items.
- Calculate consults and follow-up visits and report to the Clinical Manager monthly.
