Occupational Therapist - Outpatient - (OT)

StartDate: ASAP

Pay Rate: $1880.15 - $2166.26


Required QualificationsMinimum Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Occupational TherapyMinimum Experience: No minimum clinical experience required but is preferred. Licensing/Certification: Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as an OT or have a good-standing license of Occupational Therapy in another state and awaiting licensure in Alaska. Must also hold a current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current BLS.Equipment/Tools: ?Office equipment (i.e. computer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine)Hospital based: Standard Occupational Therapy Department environment includes hi-lo table, therapeutic exercise equipment, ultrasound and electric stimulation modalities, ADL training room (includes bathroom and kitchen).Village-based: Usually a treatment table is provided. Therapist brings out what is needed for patient care (theraband, exercise programs, etc.).

The group is affiliated with the federal Indian Health Services division, which is dedicated to providing the best quality medical care to Native Indians and Alaskan Natives. Facility LocationBethel is located west of Anchorage, Alaska and can only be accessed by water or air. It has a subarctic climate with long snowy cold winters and mild, short summers and is the main port and transportation hub for 56 villages in that area of Alaska. Annual events in Bethel include a Dogsled Race, a Fair in August and a Traditional Dance Festival in the Spring.
