**Job Title:** Occupational Therapist

**Experience:** Relevant occupational therapy experience required; pediatric experience required; lymphedema experience preferred. Primarily inpatient with some outpatient acute care.
**License:** Required state occupational therapy license
**Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
**Must-Have:** Cannot accept candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility. Experience with EPIC in the last year is a plus.
**Job Description:**
- Evaluate patients' functions using formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, developmental, social, and cognitive status.
- Develop goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance, in coordination with physician orders and standards.
- Submit written treatment plans to be included in the patient's comprehensive care plan; update plans as needed based on changes in patient status.
- Co-sign verbal orders received by occupational therapist assistants as necessary.
- Create a treatment schedule specifying frequency and duration, and coordinate with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical support staff.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about their condition, treatment alternatives, prognosis, and the rationale for prescribed interventions, including rest, exercise, and other modalities.
- Provide supervision for occupational therapist assistants, home health aides, and students in accordance with affiliate and regulatory standards.
- Participate in weekend rotation as required.
