**Job Title:** Licensed Occupational Therapist

**Shift:** 8-hour Days (8 AM - 5 PM)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of experience, particularly having completed at least one 13-week travel assignment
**License:** Active New Mexico or compact license
**Certifications:**
- BLS required
- PALS and ACLS preferred
- Certifications must be from the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in Home Health Care, Outpatient, and Acute settings
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred
- Ability to float within facility and alternate locations within 20 miles
- Team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment
**Job Description:**
- Evaluate and treat patients in acute care inpatient and outpatient settings, primarily outpatient.
- Plan and implement specific treatment programs in line with the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
- Oversee comprehensive rehabilitation programs to address the physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and environmental well-being of patients.
- Promote patient and caregiver self-determination by optimizing resource utilization to achieve the highest level of independence.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with various disciplines or services involved in patient care.
- Coordinate efforts towards discharge goals established at the initial evaluation and during the care episode.
- Serve as a patient advocate.
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as needed.
- Required to wear scrubs provided by the facility.
- No holiday time-off requests will be approved for travelers.
This position requires flexibility in shifts and the potential for on-call duties, weekends, and holidays. Travelers must not have been employed by the healthcare system within the last 12 months and must be the first to float within the facility.
