**Shift:** Day - 5x8 - 9am - 5pm, 40 Hours

**Guaranteed Hours:**

**Experience:** Minimum years of experience: 0; Prior Occupational Therapy experience in acute care, outpatient, inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or home health environments preferred; Acute care experience highly preferred.

**License:** Current state license as an Occupational Therapist.

**Certifications:**
- Current certification as Occupational Therapy Registered from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.
- Current BLS certification.

**Must-Have:**

**Job Description:**

- Plans, develops, and implements progressive rehabilitation programs for patients according to the principles and practices of occupational therapy.
- Requires standing, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, and speaking.
- Frequent stooping/bending and lifting typical weight of 15 pounds.
- Requires the ability to push/pull typical weight of up to 50 pounds.
- Engages in reaching above/below the shoulder, squatting, twisting, and carrying typical weight of 15 pounds.
- Involves repetitive arm/hand motions and occasional kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground.
- Roles include static gripping of an object for prolonged periods and frequent gripping of an object.
- The work environment is not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions but may include exposure to body fluids, communicable diseases, and cleaning agents.
- The environment can be fast-paced and sometimes stressful due to various demands on the therapist.

- Collaborate with the patient care team including physicians, surgeons, nurses, social workers, and case managers to ensure all patients' functional needs are addressed and improved to secure a safe discharge either to a home or another care facility.
