**License:** Current New Mexico occupational therapy licensure required

**Certifications:** BLS certification required

**Must-Have:** Strong interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

**Job Description:**

- Assess and treat the impact of illness, injury, developmental, or psychological impairments on patients in activities of daily living.
- Focus on activities such as range-of-motion, grooming, hygiene, eating, dressing, toileting, driving, cooking, or working.
- Assist patients in regaining, developing, and learning skills to achieve optimal independence.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the plan of care for each patient.
- Perform and direct the administration of all occupational therapy modalities.
- Collaborate throughout the process with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrate accountability and skills in assessment, evaluation, decision-making, and time management.
- Maintain a clean, well-lit, ventilated, smoke-free environment while potentially being exposed to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals.
- Be prepared for physical demands such as prolonged standing and walking, lifting patients and equipment, and handling supplies up to 50 lbs.
