MedAdventures is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team at our Mountainside, NJ Location. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and possess expertise in various areas.DETAILS:Schedule: 5 days a weekMWF: 8 to 4.30T/Th 11-7.30Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hourCurrently two FTEs and one per diem to cover two evenings a week.Patient volume includes 2 patients per hour with occasional double books.Patient population includes orthopedics, some balance patients.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Evaluates patients; interprets evaluation findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction.Establishes treatment goals and plans treatment to achieve established goals.Implements the treatment program through direct treatment of the patient; coordinates with other health care personnel as appropriate.Provides advice and education to patient and family.Regularly assesses clinical signs and symptoms to determine effectiveness of treatment, progress of patient toward goals, and need for modifying goals and treatment.Initiates discharge planning when patient has received maximum benefit from therapy.Provides accurate, timely documentation of physical therapy patient management.Monitors and maintains essential patient care and safety during procedures; applies safety principles as identified by established policy.Participates in continuing education to continually improve skills and abilities and stay abreast of current technologies/practices.Maintains inventory of necessary supplies.Ensures compliance with legal issues including but not limited to patient confidentiality and risk management; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.Exhibits a high degree of courtesy, tact, and poise when interacting with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow, acuity, and other operational demands while maintaining quality.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's, Master's or Doctor's degree of an accredited physical therapy curriculumState physical therapy licenseCurrent CPR CertificationAbility to understand and adhere to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
