**Job Description:**
- Implement patient rehabilitation programs to improve patient mobility, function, and strength.
- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files.
- Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate with physicians and others to ensure quality patient care.
- Correspond with coworkers and other offices for coordination.
- Responsible for accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc.
- Make patients comfortable and answer questions when necessary.
- Work closely with front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up.
- Make independent decisions regarding patient care.
- Be involved in business marketing and referral processes as necessary.
- Follow HIPAA policy and procedure.
- Be familiar with PT billing policy and procedure regarding Medicare, workers' compensation, private insurance, auto, liens, and cash pay.
- Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services.
- Be physically mobile, including stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standing for 8-10-hour workdays, based on the patient care schedule.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patients with transferring, and provide standby assistance and recovery with patient walking safety.
- Protect the privacy of all patient information per the Company's privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law.
- Report any concerns regarding the Company's policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of that policy.
- Participate actively in Company privacy training.
- Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
- Maintain constant alertness for resident safety.
