**Job Title:** Seasonal Physical Therapist

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks

**Shift:** 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, some weekends

**Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week

**Experience:** Minimum of 1 year full-time acute care specific experience, or 2 years in a skilled nursing/inpatient rehab facility, or 2 years of acute care experience with less than full-time hours

**License:** Valid permanent license as a physical therapist

**Certifications:** Proof of 2 hours of CVA specific continuing education obtained within the recent 4 months

**Must-Have:**
- Acute clinical therapy experience

**Job Description:**

- Implement physician's orders for physical therapy services within an interdisciplinary environment.
- Facilitate patient recovery towards a safe and independent lifestyle by utilizing a comprehensive understanding of growth and development for pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients.
- Conduct patient evaluations using functional tests/measures, and construct short-term and long-term goals along with personal/family objectives.
- Perform physically demanding tasks while ensuring safety measures are observed for both self and patients.
- Maintain secure documentation in the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Apply critical thinking to patient evaluation and treatment planning.
- Utilize treatment modalities like moist heat and other physical agents appropriately.
- Identify and address learning needs of patients and family members.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to assist patient/family from entry through acute therapy care.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all interactions.
