Specialty: Physical Therapist
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop relationships with patients.
Develop a plan of care with pertinent goals. Meet plan of care goals as determined.
Educate patients about the care provided to foster buy in and collaborative participation in their healing process.
Creates and maintains patient records.
Complete chart/peer reviews.
Complete evaluations, administer treatment and discharge patients. Complete all corresponding documentation.
Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary.
Actively participates in emergency and incident situations when required. Summons ambulance or EMS or assists other staff members as needed.
Completes timely and accurate data entry throughout the day to ensure accurate scheduling and information sharing.
Data entry into Electronic Medical Records system.
Manages a waitlist of patients.
Maintain certifications and licenses as required by the Company and State and Federal Regulations
Assists patients with ambulation needs as needed.
Has knowledge of clinical services offered at MVT, and communicate them to patients.
Assist in the maintenance of a clean, orderly, and safe PT treatment area and facility.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both patients and coworkers.
Participate in marketing initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Work with a diverse group of coworkers and patients.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient with Google Suite.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Must have CPR-AED certification or be willing to get one.
Good organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited program (required)
Have, or obtain, an Oregon Physical Therapy License (required)
Have, or obtain, BLS (CPR-AED) certification (required)
Preferences:
1-year Physical Therapy experience (preferred not required)
Network Data handling (preferred not required)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
Must be able to sit and/or walk for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Gross manipulation: seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand(s).
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch, kneel, stoop, crawl push, and pull as needed especially in fulfilling patient care activities.
