**License:** Must hold an active license as a Physical Therapist in the state where you intend to work or plan to test in the near future.

**Job Description:**
- Implement patient rehabilitation programs to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.
- Evaluate and treat patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to complete evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries for patient files.
- Guide and monitor patient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up.
- Supervise PT Assistants and Aides regarding all aspects of patient care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up regarding prescriptions, test results, authorizations, etc.
- Ensure patients are comfortable and address any questions they may have.
- Collaborate with the front office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow-up.
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills necessary for job requirements such as typing, Word, Internet, and EMR.
- Engage in the business marketing and referral process as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA policy and procedure regarding patient privacy.
- Be familiar with PT billing policy and procedure regarding a variety of payment methods.
- Be proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for the billing of services.
- Physically capable of performing job duties, including sitting on a stool, walking, standing for prolonged periods, lifting 50 pounds, and assisting patients with mobility restraints.
- Actively protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with company privacy policies and regulations.
- Report any concerns regarding policies on patient privacy and practices in violation of that policy to the designated Privacy Officer.
- Participate in company privacy training and communicate privacy policy information to coworkers, students, and patients.
- Comply with OSHA, federal, and state regulations.
**Work Environment:** Outpatient/rehabilitation setting in a patient physical therapy clinic.
**Physical Demands:** Walking, sitting, standing, bending, lifting objects over 50 pounds, pushing wheelchairs, and supporting resident safety are required.
