Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient - (PTA)

Pay Rate: $1285.66 - $1481.31
PTA- HH, OP, IP needed asap for 13 weeks
M-F DAYS
Responsible for providing appropriate therapy and treatment to persons recognized as in need of physical therapy. Provides a wide range of services from assessment through therapy and necessary follow-up services under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist and within the scope of his/her licensure. Assists in providing services to patients of all ages, children through geriatrics.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Graduate of an accredited program for Physical Therapy Assistants
Prior experience in the provision of physical therapy services preferred, experience with workplace/industry/job site analysis, Pre work screening and/or ergonomic assessment highly preferred.
Experience in acute, long term care and/or outpatient therapy.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date.
IA State Lic required
Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others.
Ability to communicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team.
Strong computer knowledge
Ability to perform technical skills associated with procedures listed in this job description.
Ability to work with independence and with minimal direction.
