About The Position **Job Title:** Radiology Technologist **Job Specialty:** Radiologic Technology **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Variable (10 AM - 10:30 PM), 5x8 hour shifts **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** One-year post-certification experience required **License:** State Licensure for Radiologic Technologist required **Certifications:** ARRT-R (Registered Technologist, Radiology), BLS (Basic Life Support, American Heart Association) **Must-Have:** Strong knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging, including Surgery and Trauma **Job Description:** - Provide quality patient care within the medical imaging department. - Perform high-quality images and exams while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. - Adhere to safe radiation practices, ensuring ALARA standards. - Act as a clinical resource and role model for students and staff technologists. - Carry out diagnostic radiology procedures, ensuring safety for all individuals. - Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and hospital staff. - Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required. - Input charges and required data for procedures and supplies used. - Prepare examination rooms, equipment, and materials needed for procedures. - Maintain technical operations of equipment and notify service when necessary. - Keep work areas clean and maintain equipment maintenance documentation. - Establish constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and departments. - Participate in ongoing education and share knowledge with staff. - Assist in the education of student radiographers and healthcare professionals. - Engage in professional activities and demonstrate a positive attitude toward the profession. - Actively participate in quality and process improvement initiatives. - Maintain compliance with all state, federal, accreditation, and hospital regulations and standards. - Contribute to accreditation efforts as requested. - Demonstrate effective time management and adapt to technological and policy changes. - Floating may be required to other locations within a specified radius or designated float area.
