Nurses working in the cardiovascular intensive care unit provide care for patients recovering from open-heart surgery and heart transplants.
CVICU Nurses observe changes, perform diagnostics tests, analyze charts, and record medical histories of patients.


Job Requirements :

Active BLS and ACLS from the American Heart AssociationActive professional license within the state of practicePediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) credentials are recommended and may be required for specific travel nurse positionsOther specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific travel nurse positionsCVICU experience in a hospital settingMinimum of 2 years of experience as an RN
