- Job Duties: Days - ER EKGs, Nights RN to do EKG (should not get called in for that), ABGs, more autonomous with respiratory care plans and treatment plans.
MUST Set up the vents (CRNA on call, RT is not usually intubating) and maintain vents, manage treatments.
Bipap and Cpap for newborn and adults.
Will keep vents if cannot ship out and hospitalist okay to medically manage, usually weather dependent - transfer within 12hrs minimal stay.

RT have ability to intubate but CRNA usually are intubating.
- Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist?
Mariann Doeling - Manager or VP of patient care for calls - Shifts & Scheduling: 6a-6p on call post shift 6p-6a (for emergencies).
Potential for block scheduling & some flexibility, staff make schedule together - manager to assist if needed.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend, flexible could be less - Holiday Requirements: Expected to work some, not all holidays during contract - Call or standby call requirement?
Yes, only coming in for an overnight emergency - What is call response time: 20 minutes - Floating Requirements: Only within the same hospital - Scrub Color: Any color scrubs - RT Equipment: Volera, vents, bipap, high flow, nasal cannula.
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Hospitalist on site 12 hours a day & on call at night, some level of Physician - Department Specific Orientation: 1-3 days of department orientation, depending on experience and NRP need - Additional Notes: Teamwork is needed Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract).
Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
