Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Day Shift with Rotating Weekends Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Per Week Experience: Minimum 2 Years Recent Respiratory Experience, Including Critical Care with Pediatrics License: Active CRT or RRT Certification Certifications: - Active BLS (AHA Required) - Active NRP - Active PALS Must-Have: - Experience with EKGs - Experience with EPIC Charting Job Description: - Provide respiratory therapies for all ages, from newborns to geriatric patients.
- Manage mechanical ventilators and perform arterial blood gas draws and analysis.
- Engage in emergent airway management and med nebulizer delivery.
- Conduct EKGs and other diagnostic procedures.
- Utilize equipment such as adult ventilators, non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry.
- Perform aerosol therapy and leverage Meditech and Pyxis Supply Stations.
- Engage in a 2-3 day orientation to familiarize with department protocols.
- Ability to float into various areas of the facility to complete duties.
- Conform to dress code requiring scrubs.
