**Job Description:**
- Provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
- Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families/support groups, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication.
- Adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
- Assist with clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students.
- Develop or implement treatment plans for problems such as stuttering, delayed language, and swallowing disorders.
- Complete patient evaluations and tests per Speech Pathology Standards of Practice, and other standards as required.
- Develop and update the patient's Plan of Care (POC).
- Assess and provide and/or progress treatment for patients per plan of care per established standards.
- Complete all documentation related to charge capture per established standards.
- Coordinate patient care effectively and efficiently with other care providers and support team members.
- Ensure compliance with department and organization requirements and responsibilities.
- Work flexible shift assignments, e.g. days of the week, hours.
- Prepare and complete accurate documentation related to patients, including all therapy performed in medical and departmental records per standards as required.
- May perform general clerical tasks, such as answering phones, updating patient appointments, or retrieving, entering, and revising patient Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment after each use.
- Inspect and use equipment per manufacturers' guidelines, recording data and reporting malfunctions per policy.
