Job Description:

Summary/Function:
Use existing and grow knowledge and skills obtained through education and job experience within the Financial Wealth Management industry to analyze, maintain, implement, and continuously support and improve the Business Application Workflow (TRAX) platform. The employee will have a balanced focus on training, platform and integration development, incident and change management, and strategic planning for the platform. The position will facilitate Change Management discussions with Wealth Management, Operations, and other impacted departments, build business requirements for future integrations and workflows. This position will work closely with partner departments and external partners to implement processes within the TRAX workflow, identify opportunities, research and resolve complex issues and provide input to solutions to address changing regulatory requirements and organizational changes. This position will assist the manager as the lead analyst, researching large projects, training team members, providing expert knowledge in technical aspects of the platform.

This position is eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangements.
Experience and Skills:

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field is preferred

Previous experience in a securities industry, front or back office, and working knowledge of the securities industry, financial markets and its products, preferred.

Successful completion of the FINRA General Securities Representative Exam (Series 7) and/or FINRA Operations Principal Exam (Series 99), encouraged

Experience interpreting, modifying, and creating detailed business requirements for new integration and workflows.

Strong analytical, product management and organizational skills and attention to detail

Logical problem solver. Ability to learn quickly in a fast moving environment

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a sometimes stressful situation

Proficient computer skills with regards to Microsoft Office, the Internet, Intranet, Outlook and the back office operations system

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve goals and resolve problems, proactive and self-motivated

Manage with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the culture, values and mission of Davidson

Ability to follow policies and procedures; maintain client confidentiality

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate and present technical requirements and dependencies, in person, online and over the phone.

Ability to proactively work with both external and internal clients; relate with others in a professional manner in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives

Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance

Duties:

Work with Information Technology (IT) and vendors to manage major incidents and issues.

Partner with internal development and support teams to ensure platform stability and continuity of day-to-day activities.

Collaborate with IT, Compliance/Supervision, Wealth Management, Project Management, and Operations to provide input and assistance with complex projects and improvements to existing DA Davidson platforms and tools.

Represents TRAX/workflow department on major firm level projects and/or initiatives related to Wealth Management and Operations.

Maintain training materials and procedure documentation to support the platform, work with team members to train and support improvement of their skills.

Elicit requirements from branch users and operations using interview, document analysis, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs of the organization

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external vendors and internal employees to analyze information needs and functional requirements

Work with users and managers to define concepts; take these concepts and develop basic TRAX/workflow requests

Coordinate with department managers on how they will successfully execute a project/form within their department

Interpret branch and operations business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

Serve as a conduit between D.A. Davidson and the external software development team through which requirements flow

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

Serve as support for troubleshooting product issues between D.A. Davidson and outside vendors

Co-develop training documents and live training with the Manager

Perform any other duties and special projects as necessary

The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. Additional incentive compensation may be earned based on performance.
