The Treasury Manager is responsible for executing Treasury's strategic objective in Latin America, aiming to drive efficient and seamless banking data to provide comprehensive results for accurate and timely cash positions, as well as predictable and reliable cash forecasts. The qualified candidate will assist with cash management, debt/equity, investments, working capital management, digital tools/technology, financial risk mitigation, and risk management spanning foreign exchange, trade finance, credit reviews, assurance, and insurance. Oversees cash functions for the company including cash positioning and cash reporting; supervision of Treasury Analyst.
May include: Oversee daily management of cash and debt.Monitor and manage company's daily cash position – short-term liquidity and funding needs.Manage and negotiate existing banking and investment relationships and development of new bank and investment relationships.Manage corporate letter of credit facility.Maintain debt schedules and ensure timely principal and interest payments.Calculate month-end cash accruals for the Accounting Department.Manage and assist in negotiations for parent entity debt facility – including negotiation of loans back to parent entity.Open and close bank accounts.Maintain, update and secure identity documentation on signers of corporate bank accounts.Implement cash management systems and train staff on those systems; Security Administrator for all banking systems.Manage account opening documentation for ten corporate entities working with the corporate legal department for required updates.Implement cash management operational strategies.Provide analysis and statistical support data for the corporate finance team.Assess foreign exchange risk and implement and manage FX hedge programs.Oversee interest rate risk management.Manage investment of excess cash; oversee investment activities.Conduct borrowing activities.Develop policies, procedures, operational controls, and standards for the corporate Treasury Dept.; Recommend and implement improvements to current cash management processes.Serve as lead representative for Treasury with internal and external auditors, preparing documentation for cash confirmations, conducting process walkthroughs, and defining control procedures/measures.Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures in day-to-day conduct and supervision of cash management activities.Remain current on new banking regulations, standards, and treasury best practices to make informed recommendations to senior management concerning the implementation of strategic operational changes.Lead cooperative efforts between Treasury, IT, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Accounting Department team and/or corporate project teams for diagnosis, design, and implementation of process improvements.Manage implementation of SunGard Integrity XE treasury management workstation.Monitor bank account usage and make recommendations on closing and opening accounts.Prepare routine ad hoc reports for internal and external distribution.Full administrative back-up for Treasury Analyst – covers all duties and responsibilities when Treasury Analyst is absent.Perform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.Nature & Scope: Ensures work is aligned with the Director's expectations, goals, and vision.Accountable for implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for short-term results.Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures, and business plan; receives guidance from Senior Manager/Director.Works on difficult to moderately complex issues and projects.Provides guidance and training to subordinates.Has authority to hire, recommend pay, establish performance and recommend for termination.Level of signing authority established by company policy/guidelines.Knowledge & Skills: Strong attention to detail.Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).Thorough knowledge of US financial institutions, essentials of Treasury Management, banking relationships, and cash/bank management systems.Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives simultaneously.Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.MS Office applications, especially spreadsheet, word processing, slide presentation.Good interpersonal communication skills.Familiarity with Accounting standards.Experience: 5+ years of experience in Treasury Management.Supervisory experience preferred.Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.CTP credential (formerly known as CCM) desirable.People Management (Y/N): Yes
