Description and Purpose:
The Body Shop Department is an integral part of this Company's success. The Truck Painter will prepare truck surfaces for painting after damages have been repaired. Following the instructions given from management the Truck Painter will follow regulations for preparing and painting the trucks.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Examine damaged trucks Prepare surfaces for painting after body repairs are completed Remove or mask parts that are not to be painted Prime and paint prepared surfaces to specified requirements Personal Requirements: The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas present through spoken words and sentences The ability to communicate information and ideas in writing or verbally so others will understand The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times The ability to interact well with managers, customers, and the general public Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure Must complete and maintain respiratory fit testing annually Physical Demands and Environment:

On a daily basis operate a computer and other office machines Will frequently work in all kinds of weather outdoors Employee will lift up to 50 pounds daily Noise level is usually moderate Daily exposure to moving mechanical parts Will be required daily to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crawl, kneel, climb, balance, reach, handle, feel, talk, hear, and see On a daily basis will be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals Education/Training or Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred Diploma from technical college preferred 1 year experience and current paint certification preferred 1 year in heavy-duty truck repair preferred The Midwest Peterbilt Group is an EEO/AA employer.
