Details of the Civil Defense Litigation Legal Assistant Hybrid, 4 days in officeDirect hireSalary starting at $55,000, dependent on experience Responsibilities of the Civil Defense Litigation Legal Assistant Perform secretarial and clerical dutiesOpen mail for attorney and log time on time sheet as necessaryEnter attorney time sheets into computer on a daily basisAnswer telephone, giving non-legal information when possible, refer call to attorney and take messagesTranscribe dictation utilizing dictation system (BigHand)Maintain files, assisting with filing or request file clerk assistance from office manager/floor supervisor when necessaryResponsible for scheduling depositions and various other meetings and appointmentsIn emergency may have to deliver or collect documents for attorney at courthouse, other law offices, etc.Make travel arrangements and hotel reservations for attorneyMaintain attorney diary systemPerform additional duties as required Requirements of the Civil Defense Litigation Legal Assistant Must have 2-4 years of defense litigation experience.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteMust be able to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to communicate with clients and co-workers effectively and efficiently This is an excellent opportunity for experienced candidates to join a large law-firm that prioritizes employee well-being and has great benefits.
