Basic Function
The Global Engineering & Turnaround (GE&T) organization has oversight responsibilities for the preparation and execution of all turnaround events globally.
The Turnaround Construction Manager, NA, supports T/A preparation efforts, defines execution strategies, leads constructability reviews, schedule optimization & staffing preparation, and the pre-TAR & field execution of the assigned turnaround event.
The position resides in Global Engineering & Turnaround (GE&T).
Roles & Responsibilities
General
* Provide leadership to enable the organization to achieve GoalZERO HSE performance
* Leads the development and implementation of turnaround execution strategies and best practices
* Leads and participates in constructability reviews and schedule optimizations
* Develops the staffing plan to support the pre-turnaround and execution phase based on planned man hour estimates and contractor requirements / input
* Leads execution team training and on-boarding efforts
* Accountable for all maintenance field activities associated with the turnaround and related capital projects
* Effectively communicates up, down, and across to foster support and remove obstacles

Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field is preferred..
Work Experience
* Minimum 15 years of experience in a process plant or comparable environment is required.
10 or more years of prior
* turnaround / project experience and 5 years of management experience strongly preferred.
* Construction management expertise with detailed knowledge of craft and quality assurance practices
Languages English
Other skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and SAP.
Understanding of field execution for Petrochemical Turnarounds.
* Knowledge of basic Primavera scheduling practices preferred
* Ability to work under minimal supervision and effectively manage people and multiple/changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Exceptional analytical skills to effectively evaluate system performance, troubleshooting and mastery of continuous process improvement tools.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface with and relate complex concepts/issues with all levels from craft to executive leadership
* Excellent leadership, mentoring and team work skills with the ability to effectively transfer technical expertise to less experienced turnaround professionals
* Administrative acumen and expertise
Travel
* 20% travel within North America required.
Willingness to accept short-term, out of home area assignments to support turnaround execution
