Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasonography Northridge Hospital Medical Center is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technician to join our Ultrasonography Dept. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic images.
Responsibilities Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients following established protocols.Adjust and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal images.Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing preliminary findings to healthcare providers.Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to discuss imaging results.Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.Calibrate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality.Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and procedures.Qualifications A minimum of 1 year experience in a hospital/acute care setting or satisfactory completion of a full rotation at Northridge Hospital ultrasound department within the last year required.Satisfactory completion of formal Ultrasound technology training in an AMA approved school; AA degree in Ultrasound Technology in an AMA approved school required.Computer skills required.Current ARDMS required.Current Basic Life Support certification required.Must have LA City Fire Card within 90 days of hire.This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
