Ultrasound Tech. - Per Diem

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Perform diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.Perform all Ultrasound Imaging techniques and examinations: Abdominal, Retroperitoneal, Obstetrics and Gynecological, Carotid, Vascular Small Parts, and intra-cavity exams.Able to work independently and perform and communicate results of diagnostic examinations to the radiologist.Float to all off-sites as needed.Call/On-Call/Recall required.Holidays and Weekends as required.SPECIAL SKILLS OR EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of a program in Ultrasound Technology.ARDMS or ARRT Certification.High School Graduate or equivalent.Computer knowledge preferred.Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements: Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services.Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen.Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
