Connect with a recruiter at:****** key components and expectations of the Ultrasound Technologist are:Function as an ultrasonographer in all aspects and duties of the job performance and expectation requirementsPerform quality imaging studies using diagnostic ultrasound and assure appropriate patient careMaintain all licensure and regulatory requirementsOther related duties as assigned that support ultrasound and Ellis Medicine ImagingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography programMinimum of two years experience in ultrasound is preferredRVT or RDMS requiredRESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:The sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasounds in several or most of the following areas: abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, small parts or breast, utilizing clinical and technical knowledge to obtain high quality sonographic images and detailed patient worksheets that will provide the radiologist with the diagnostic information necessary for accurate interpretations.Specific responsibilities include:Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentWorks independently, requesting assistance when neededExcellent communication skillsSupports the physicians and departmental leadershipMaintains all certifications and licenses required for the positionPromotes a smooth flow of patients through the department and helps to create a supportive atmosphereConducts all interactions with patients and personnel in a courteous, respectful manner while maintaining confidentialityMaintains proper patient safety measures including but not limited to: proper identification, confidentiality, HIPAA, etc.Orders and maintains suppliesSupports department staff on special projects as necessaryFollows all governing guidelines set forth by organizations such as the Joint Commission, NYSDOH, etc., as well as, follow all departmental and organizational policies and proceduresAll other duties as assignedEllis Medicine is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.

Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
