Your tasks and responsibilities as a Sonographer include but are not limited to: Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner Perform sonogram examinations in accordance accurately and in a timely mannerResponsible for imagining, recording and processing ultrasound imagesObtain and document complete patient history as it relates to the procedure ordered and informed consentMaintain statistical results for quality improvementQualifications A two-year Allied Health degree or successful program completion at a 12-month CAAHEP approved School of Ultrasound TechnologyARDMS registry: RVT, AB or OB/GYN specialty(ies)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationOne (1) to three (3) years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer)Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, computer (MEDITECH), and clerical skillsAbility to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructionsHCA Florida Englewood Hospital is a 100 bed acute care hospital.
