Overview The Unarmed Security Officer provides guard services to the United States Security and Exchange Commission, Office of Security Services.
Responsibilities Enforces regulations and procedures designed to prevent security breaches.
Will conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection.Carry all applicable licenses/permitsMust be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidaysOther duties as assigned Qualifications One year of security experience; or,Four years of military or National Guard experience; or, Successful completion of a state certified Police Officer's Standard Training (POST) course.
HS Diploma or GED RequiredMust possess United States citizenship.Successfully complete Federal Protective Services medical and physical testing prior to hire.Must speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
